Traditional and digital calls for different techniques, so if you're more used to draw in traditional, it's normal to feel difficulty with digital! :)

Also maybe you should try reading/watching new stuff! What games do you play? What shows do you watch? Do you read manga? If so, what kind? I think you'd feel refreshed by reading/watching new stories and maybe even trying new things. Music is a great source of inspiration too! Maybe you will like a story genre you didn't knew you would like? :)

Going to the library to read comics/mangas/books, or even going to shops is nice too :) (there's some stuff in shops we won't find in libraries!)
Sometimes, libraries and bookshops do art contests too.

And yeah 4komas are cool! (^v^) you should read some, they're funny!

hi sou!!! i m open to recommendations on books nd shows… everything in general i think,..im not very picky about tht sort of stuff

i dont really go outside much but ill try 2 find some places! i always look forwards to what you got to say, youre very wise…!

, im still working on being funny tho lolso ill probably put the 4koma idea in the backburner for now… thanks sous :)

@tokuwan
Personally i recommend "Nichijou" by Keiichi Arawi, it's my fav manga (=ↀωↀ=)

There's also "Azumanga Daioh" (which is a 4koma!) by Kiyohiko Azuma
I've read these two mangas, they're very good and funny! Nichijou and Azumanga might be considered as "classics" by now haha (´◡`) (they date back from the 2000's and the 2010's !)

and there's also "Nights with a Cat" by Kyuryu Z, which is more recent! (2020) :)

what a coincidence!!!! ghis is actually crazy, because ive watched both animes!! i havent touched the manga yet though, thanks for the reminder!
its pretty funny, because i own a few yotsuba manga…(in original japanese tho @_@ i cant read..) i reallt like the style for nights with a cat, ill check them all out :D.. thanks sou!

HI, so I'm someone who really fucken likes digital art, and I think you just have to find the right software for you, all software is different and some of it is just kinda boring, or unintuitive, or feels/looks bad, so you kinda gotta look around, adjust the software to you, and sometimes adjust yourself to it.

Like dude I really really like microsoft paint it's my favourite piece of software in general, BUT, if all there was to digital art was something like krita, I'd hate digital [krita fucken SUCKS]. That being said I still use krita sometimes because I adjusted it to me, when you figure out what tools matter to you, import brushes you like and sometimes even filters shit gets fun, at least to me idunno man, like sometimes I'd spend an entire day just figuring out new software.

There's so much awesome shit I wanna do with software, like dude, dithering and posterizing alone are an entire fuckin WORLD and the stuff that comes out looks awesome, so in my opinion I think you should try to look for stuff that just straight gets you excited, it's fun! (though it does get kinda tedious sometimes, it's like getting into linux)

ohmy gosh i love ms paint!!!! if you scroll down far wnough you can see my old mspaint art, from when i didnt have a drawing tablet yet…,

youre spot on with that , krita is weird (for me) lol.. there arw a handful of drawings i did in krita, and they took the longest amd most effort, even compared to my ms paint stuff.

Getting into new software is like getting dropped into a warzone sometimes lol, most of my drawings right now are made using sketchbook… it’s a pretty barren nd basic software though, which is what i kinda like about it!

i might try krita again, and just tweak some stuff.. ty so much :) i always appreciate input, vry important for me as a growing artist
